Keno Methods That Work

It may not commonly be deemed the sexiest game in the realm of betting, but keno has tons of dedicated followers. And why not? It’s a routinely thrilling lotto-like game that’s a breeze to pickup, abundantly available in many different formats, and one that might yield millions of dollars for those who master its heaps of subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basics here.
When defining keno to beginners, some gaming connoisseurs compare it to bingo. This is at least tolerably correct, in that each game is generally numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to devalue the good many unique characteristics that make keno so fun. Unlike bingo, keno users have the freedom to select the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is given an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he or she wants. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your handpicked numbers with a standardpen like you had when you were in third grade.
Once you have marked your numbers, carry your card back to the girl at the keno booth. The nice person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to misplace this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your winning card.
And there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s move on to something a little bit more complicated, ok?
Once you’ve selected your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and watch the action happen on the keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you marked winners, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get up to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, since a new round of keno will probably begin within five minutes.
Strategy number 2: always make it back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you don’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute margin each time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the max amount of games (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you will then be able to get off your numb bum and go get your winnings.
Yet another choice is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which commonly allows you make number choices for 30 games or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!
So now you have learned a couple essential schemes for winning keno. If you are an advanced keno player, they may appear to be incredibly obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a newbie keno player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno experience more agreeable.
