Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese military commander, Cheung Leung who used this game as a way to finance his declining forces. The metropolis of Cheung was waging a war, and after awhile of war time seemed to be facing national shortage of food with the excessive decrease in supplies. Cheung Leung had to come up with a rapid fix for the economic disaster and to create revenue for his military. He thusly developed the game we know today as keno and it was a fantastic success.
Keno was well-known as the White Pigeon Game, seeing as the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from larger municipalities to the lesser villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was brought to the US in the 19th century by Chinese migrants who migrated to the US to jobs. In those times, Keno used 120 numbers.
Today, Keno is regularly played with eighty numbers in almost all of the US brick and mortar casinos as well as internet casinos. Keno is largely liked today as a result of the relaxed nature of wagering the game and the simple reality that there are no expertise needed to enjoy Keno. Regardless of the reality that the chances of coming away with a win are appalling, there is constantly the hope that you will hit quite big with very little gambling investment.
Keno is played with eighty numbers with 20 numbers drawn each round. Players of Keno can choose from 2 to ten numbers and bet on them, as much or as little as they are able to. The payout of Keno is dependent on the wagers made and the matching of numbers.
Keno has grown in acceptance in the US since the close of the 19th century when the Chinese characters were replaced with more familiar, American numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the legalization of gaming in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos adjusted the name of the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the concept that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to place. When a law passed that taxed off track betting, Nevada casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
