It may not ordinarily be deemed the most fun game in the universe of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of steadfast fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a always exciting lottery-ish game that’s uncomplicated to learn, readily available in loads of assorted styles, and one that may return millions for gamblers who master its countless subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basics for now.
When defining keno to novices, some gambling masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least partially apt, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. But to take that comparison too far is likely to be to belittle the many unique traits that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno enthusiasts have the freedom to select the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is accord an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she needs. And it doesn’t take a super genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a normalpen like you had when you were a kid.
After you have picked your numbers, take your card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and would like to help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your time spent.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let us go on to something a little more complicated, yes?
Now that you’ve checked off your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on the keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for all to see. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to drag your feet, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get up to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and then a new drawing will surely start up within a few minutes.
Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno booth on time!
Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the max number of games (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you can then get off your lazy butt and go get your winnings.
Yet an additional option is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which generally lets you make number selection for thirty keno rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" game tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
And now you know several required strategies for winning keno. If you are an advanced player, they might seem incredibly obvious. But it does not hurt to brush up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new user, every bit of advice will help make your keno betting more agreeable.
